Security Installation Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a high-level Security Installation Technician III to install security cameras, card access systems, and fire alarms for commercial businesses including banks, churches, schools, and hospitals. The role requires the ability to read blueprints, run and terminate Cat 6 cable, and knowledge of commercial fire alarm codes for components such as pull stations and smoke detectors. Technicians will install and program high-level, cutting-edge card access and camera systems from multiple brands.

Responsibilities

• Install security cameras, card access systems, and fire alarms in commercial settings.
• Read and interpret blueprints for installation planning.
• Run and terminate Cat 6 cabling.
• Ensure compliance with commercial fire alarm codes (e.g., pull stations, smoke detectors).
• Install and program advanced card access and camera systems from various brands.
• Stay current with technological changes and brand-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Expertise in security system installation (CCTV, access control, alarms, IP cameras).
• Proficiency with Cat 6 cabling and termination.
• Experience with scissor lifts and boom lifts.
• Familiarity with top brands such as Milestone, Software House, Lenel/S2, and Skills Security.
• Strong programming skills for card access and camera systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

Expert-level experience in security system installation and programming.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $50.00 per hour.
