Position Overview

Loyal Source is seeking a skilled Security Installation Technician to support a large, multi-site security systems project across the Yale University campus. This role is ideal for a technician who takes pride in craftsmanship, works well on complex campuses, and brings both technical skill and professional discipline to the job.

Key Responsibilities

  • Security system installation — Access control, CCTV, intrusion, and related low-voltage systems
  • System programming — Basic to intermediate programming of security devices and platforms
  • Troubleshooting & testing — Ensure all installed systems meet project specifications
  • Campus-wide project coordination — Work across multiple Yale buildings and environments
  • Documentation & reporting — Maintain accurate installation logs and system records

Required Qualifications

  • Must hold one of the following Connecticut Low Voltage Licenses: L5, L6, C5, or C6
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a security installation technician
  • Some programming experience required (access control, cameras, or intrusion systems)
  • Strong understanding of low-voltage wiring, terminations, and device installation
  • Highly Preferred: Experience / Certifications — AXIS, Lenel, AMAG, VMS platforms, DMP
