About the role
As a Security Guard Vehicle Patrol Driver in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls and more. In this driving role, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and associates. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related needs with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
- Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and potential hazards; report observations and incidents according to site procedures.
- Assist with access control, visitor direction, and other assigned security-related duties to help maintain an orderly retail environment.
Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Preferred candidates are comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- Customer service experience is preferred.

- Thursday: 12:30 PM - 11:30 PM
- Friday: 12:30 PM - 11:30 PM
- Saturday: 12:30 PM - 11:30 PM
