About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location in Mechanicsville, VA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and report observations promptly. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors at a government transportation location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, roadways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Respond to incidents, traffic-related disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Maintain a professional presence while assisting with the orderly movement of visitors and vehicles and helping to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
