About the role

As a Security Guard Retail Lot Patrol in Elmont, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. You will communicate professionally, report observations, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and property concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Assist with directing visitors, providing information, and maintaining a professional presence while supporting a positive shopping environment.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
