Security Guard PRN

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of duties to ensure the security of patients, visitors, staff and hospital assets.
• Documents security exposures and notifies appropriate personnel of unusual activity inside or outside the hospital.
• Interacts with patients and family members following the hospital’s channels of clinical, security, and administrative communication.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One (1) year of previous security service experience, military experience, or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Previous healthcare security experience is also strongly preferred.
• Ability to de-escalate confrontations.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
