About the Role
Security guards shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Report to Security Management any safety and/or security concerns observed at facilities.
- Conduct patrols of the facility as outlined in the Post Orders.
- Cook up an initial response to security incidents.
- Observe and report any fire and/or safety issues.
- Report building maintenance problems or issues.
- Perform daily locking and unlocking functions.
- Maintain Pass-On log.
- Direct delivery personnel.
- Monitor Security CCTV and respond to security incidents per instructions in Post Orders.
- Provide professional customer services for internal and external customers.
- Answer questions regarding security and basic inquiries pertaining to security sites.
- Document each shift by completing the necessary paperwork and electronic logs.
- Observe, deter, and report all unlawful acts, actual or attempted.
- Request law enforcement response, as needed, for security events both detected or reported.
- Respond to all security issues communicated or detected on the grounds of facilities.
- Control and secure security incident scene until arrival of law enforcement.
- Control access to areas and facilities utilizing access control lists.

Requirements
- Valid Washington State Guard Card or willingness to obtain one.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Active driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle report (MVR) check.
- Ability to pass a drug screening.
- No criminal history that renders the security officer unsuitable for the position, taking into account the nature and gravity of the offense or conduct, the time that has passed since the offense, conduct or completion of a sentence, the nature of the job duties and any other relevant factors.
