About the role

As a Part-Time Security Guard (X-Ray Screening Patrol) in Livonia, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. At a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will conduct unarmed routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the facility and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, and drivers in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, escalating concerns to appropriate contacts or emergency responders as directed.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations through clear and accurate reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
