Security Officer Full Time X Ray Screening Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Jacksonville, FL, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and screening activities. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while helping create a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, parking areas, dock doors, trailer yards, building entrances, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor for unauthorized access, unusual activity, and potential hazards, and report observations according to site-specific procedures.
• Assist with documenting incidents, maintaining activity logs, and communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$15.24 / hour
