Security Officer Full Time X Ray Screener

About the role
As a Full Time X Ray Screener in Davenport, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. In this fast-paced environment, you will use screening technology to support controlled access, identify prohibited items, and maintain a secure environment. You will communicate professionally with team members and visitors while providing outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and team members by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Screen individuals, packages, and property entering or leaving the distribution location in accordance with established procedures; document and report prohibited items or irregularities.
- Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas by verifying credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery documentation.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and effectively; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter; report security-related concerns and unusual activity.
Requirements
- At least six months of security-related experience.
- A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$15.70 / hour
Schedule
- Tuesday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
- Wednesday: 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Thursday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
- Friday: 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM
