What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying credentials, screening visitors and contractors, issuing temporary access badges, and maintaining accurate entry and exit records.
- Observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic at gates, docks, and other designated access points; communicate access instructions and report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and notifying appropriate contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior areas, exterior grounds, perimeter points, parking areas, and loading zones to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
