Security Guard Part Time Entry Credential Validation

About the role

As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, monitor access activity, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps deter incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor badges as directed, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, business areas, and the perimeter to help identify unauthorized access, unusual activity, and security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership, documenting incidents and completing required reports.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• A guard card or license.
• Customer service experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification.

$19.00 / Hour

• Tuesday: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sunday: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
