About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government office location in Peekskill, NY, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, applicants, and personnel at a government office by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor entrances, public areas, and restricted locations; verify visitor access in accordance with established procedures; and report suspicious activity or unauthorized access concerns.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Requirements
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$22.12 - $23.12 / hour
