Security Guard Part Time Unarmed Incident Observation Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and assist passengers, employees, and visitors with professionalism and clear communication. You will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment while delivering service with integrity, teamwork, reliability, and care.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, bus stops, administrative areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate transit personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, assist with directing visitors and passengers, and maintain a professional presence to help deter unauthorized access and disruptive behavior.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and required communications in accordance with site-specific procedures and Allied Universal expectations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
