About the role
As a Security Guard Part Time - Luxury Retail in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Support loss prevention awareness by observing merchandise areas, assisting with crowd management during busy periods, and following post orders for after-hours checks and opening and closing activities.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
