As an Armed Security Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver's license and Level III Armed Certification. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting Allied Universal's caring, reliable, and integrity-driven culture.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour
Job Schedule: DayTime — Thu 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM; Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, including disturbances, medical situations, theft-related concerns, and other critical situations, in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, receiving areas, parking lots, and the surrounding property to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Complete required reports and maintain professional communication with store management, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements
- Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
