Security Guard Part Time Armed Patrol Driver

About the role

As an Armed Patrol Driver Security Guard in Raleigh, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Government. This part-time role allows you to build a flexible schedule and explore new opportunities using our Claim a Shift platform. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service. This position requires an armed guard card or license and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document visitor, staff, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare clear reports of incidents, observations, patrol activity, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders.

Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
