Security Officer Part Time Armed Response Driver

This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer Part Time Armed Response Driver in Katy, TX, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—it’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, vendors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail grocery location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading and receiving areas, and surrounding perimeter to help deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
