About the role
As a Part-Time Armed Patrol Driver Observation Security Guard in Odessa, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls and more. This driving position requires a valid driver's license and Level III Armed Certification. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to store team members, customers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, receiving areas, parking lots, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following site procedures and applicable laws.
- Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

- Sunday: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM
