Security Guard- Night Shift

Main Responsibilities

• Maintains security by performing security rounds.
• Uses computer skills to monitor facility video surveillance and create employee badges and key access request forms.
• Prepares the facility and other SHL property for inclement weather or potential disasters.
• Locks/unlocks access points as approved by the manager.
• Collaborates with other departments as needed.
• Completes incident reports and escalates issues to management.
• Participates in the Emergency Response Team.
• Escorts visitors and staff within the facility.
• Fulfills roles outlined in the emergency response plan.
• Secures warehouse inventory and SHL Company Assets.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (required)
• Two years of experience as a security guard. Experience in a medical device manufacturing company is preferred.
• Effective communication, attention to detail, conflict resolution, ability to think on one's feet, understanding of basic safety procedures/protocols, willingness to train and learn.
• CPR training preferred. Must obtain CPR training within thirty days of hire date and annually.
• Prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, bending/stooping, travel (auto driving).
• Work environment including outside elements (heat or cold).
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
