About the role
Maintains security at the facility by monitoring plant activity, performing hourly facility rounds, and ensuring proper access.
Responsibilities
- Performs hourly facility rounds to check trailer temperatures, address parking violations, and monitor gates.
- Verifies proper parking passes for facility access and checks trailers, visitors, and vendors in and out.
- Answers incoming calls as needed and assists with billing loads for shipping on weekends or as needed.
- Operates company-owned vehicles if needed and authorized.
- Inspects trailers for cleanliness, seals, and operability upon entry and while on facility property.
- Receives shipments of supplies and raw materials as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
- Strong computer skills.
- Prior security experience preferred.
- Ability to walk more than one mile, on varying terrain / grades, in all weather conditions, and up / downstairs.
- Ability to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision.
- Effective communication skills under stress.
- Professional attitude at all times.
- Ability to work any shift as needed, including Saturdays and Sundays as needed or required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
