Security Guard Driver Retired Law Enforcement

About the role

As an Armed Patrol Officer at a leading financial institution in Newark, NJ, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving post requires an armed guard card/license, concealed carry weapons permit, and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Maintain a professional armed presence in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional assistance and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access activity, report suspicious conditions or policy violations, and complete accurate incident reports and required documentation.

Requirements

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Must be retired law enforcement with RPO.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Preferred: Comfortable using a computer or tablet.

$30.30 / hour

• Saturday: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sunday: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
