Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, retailers, visitors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, entrances, loading areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or property concerns.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and monitoring of retail operations to support an orderly environment for shoppers, tenants, and staff.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
