About the role

As a Security Guard Armed Entry Screening in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will help maintain a welcoming, professional environment by screening individuals and belongings, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and support a culture built on integrity, teamwork, reliability, agility, and innovation at Allied Universal.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Operate assigned screening equipment and conduct authorized inspections of persons, property, and belongings in accordance with established procedures.
• Verify access credentials, direct visitors to appropriate entry points, and communicate entry requirements in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting concerns through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum age requirement for unarmed roles: 18 years old.
• Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21 years old.

Skills

• Ability to operate assigned screening equipment.
• Ability to verify access credentials and communicate effectively.
• Ability to respond calmly to incidents and emergencies.
• Ability to conduct regular patrols and patrols of assigned areas.
