What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, authorize access for approved individuals, and document visitor, vehicle, and/or vendor activity in accordance with site protocols.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or first responders when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, gates, yards, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require a security-related response.
- Support screening and checkpoint operations by observing traffic flow, reporting access issues, and helping to maintain orderly movement of people and vehicles throughout the location.
Minimum Requirements
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience, or a college degree, is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
