Security Dispatcher

Key Responsibilities

• Answer all telephone and radio calls for emergency and non-emergency security services.
• Notifies and dispatches appropriate response personnel using various communication methods.
• Operates the security communication console, access control system, closed circuit television system, and overhead paging system.
• Maintains automated records/logs, prepares reports and other documents, and maintains appropriate filing system using computer aided dispatch software.
• Monitors and responds accordingly to all emergency and protection alarm systems.
• Maintains Closed Circuit Television Systems.
• Attends required meetings, enhances professional growth and development through in-service meetings and workshops.
• Calls all Emergency Codes using the overhead paging system.
• Documents necessary Medical Alert Codes in the Meditech system.
• Establishes communication links with community emergency-response agencies during disaster or crisis events.
• Provides communication support to Emergency Operations Center and supports the Hospital Emergency Incident Command System.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Formal Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Work Experience: No experience required.
