The Role

The part-time dispatcher position is responsible for monitoring our security systems and ensuring the safety of the building at all times. Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

• Secures property and facility.
• Locks and unlocks facility doors.
• Conducts routine property walks.
• Inspects premises for signs of intrusion or tampering.
• Tour facility, examining doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secure.
• Interacts with the public and all levels of management and fellow employees.
• Safeguards the safety of all individuals on the premises.
• Works independently and judges and assesses situations for immediate response.
• Maintains vigilance over security systems and cameras.
• Notifies appropriate members of management or emergency systems when necessary.
• Completes incident reports and logs as required.
• Responds immediately to emergency situations – answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Keeps a record of all keys and equipment that are signed out.
• Works extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • One year of security experience in a similar environment is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while exercising judgment, initiative, and problem solving.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff, including management.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work irregular hours including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.
  • Knowledge of computers and Microsoft suite.
  • Will be subject to acceptable background check.
