About the role
This role is a Graveyard shift, working 10pm - 6am, Wednesday through Sunday. You will work in the Security Operations Center (SOC), providing support to the Security Manager, and ensuring the safety and security of all Intuitive Machines personnel, facilities, assets, visitors, contractors, and customers. This role may require periodic and proactive patrolling of Intuitive Machines’ main campus and remote buildings, mitigating security risks, and responding to incidents as necessary.
The SOC Dispatcher will coordinate with Physical Security Patrol Officers and contracted Guard Force to mitigate and respond to a diverse range of safety and security concerns. Additionally, this position plays a critical role in industrial security compliance under Department of Defense (DoD) or other government regulations, ensuring adherence to all applicable security policies and procedures.
You will work in the Security Operation Center, which is manned 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, protecting the company's employees, assets, and property by monitoring computerized systems.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate access control systems, surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and communication equipment, responding promptly and professionally to security incidents and emergencies.
- Enforce security protocols and proactively identify risks such as unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and trespassing to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents, ensuring accurate documentation, timely reporting, and escalation to management.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with internal policies and government regulations (e.g., Department of Defense (DoD), National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)) to protect classified and proprietary information.
- Coordinate with the contingent Guard Force and external agencies, including law enforcement and emergency responders, ensuring consistent policy enforcement and effective communication.
- Provide security briefings, training, and guidance to employees, contractors, and visitors regarding access procedures and security awareness.
- Manage inbound communications, assess authenticity, address inquiries professionally, and document shift activities comprehensively.
- Assist with creating and managing identification badges, conducting mobile patrols across company facilities, and responding effectively to alarms, medical situations, and evacuations.
- Work with a team in a security or law enforcement environment, acting on incident response, emergency management, and investigative procedures.
- Interface professionally with employees, contractors, government officials, and security service providers.
- Prepare report writing and security documentation.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen with eligibility and willingness to obtain a security clearance.
- High school diploma/GED.
- 1 or more years of related security experience, preferably in a Physical Security SOC Operator or Dispatcher role.
- Experience with mobile patrol operations and the ability to operate security vehicles effectively with a clean DMV record.
- Knowledge of security technology systems, including CCTV, access control, alarm monitoring, and radio communications.
- Knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Office 365 products and Windows OS.
- Must be able to walk, stand, and patrol periodically, as needed, up to 8 hours.
- Work may include overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs. Requires flexibility to work all shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior military, law enforcement, or federal security experience.
- Certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid.
- Experience in crisis management and emergency response coordination.
- Familiarity with security risk assessments and mitigation planning.
- Prior experience in industrial security, law enforcement, military, or corporate security is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of DoD, NISPOM, and other federal security compliance programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in report writing and security documentation.

Pay
The base pay for this position within California is $20.70 - $34.50 hourly. For all other states, geographic cost of labor is used to develop market-driven ranges.
