Security Dispatcher

Job Summary

As our Security Dispatcher, you will help maintain the safety and security of the hospital premises and its occupants. Your responsibilities include dispatching Security, Facilities, and Environmental Service requests as designated, providing project coordination as required, managing communications, data, and dispatches for various hospital services, and ensuring smooth operations and high quality customer service.

To be successful in this role, you must perform daily tasks effectively and contribute significantly to the smooth and safe operation of the hospital. You will assess complex situations, consult with appropriate parties, and make decisions in a timely manner.

• Purchasing supplies as needed by department
• Answering telephones for Transportation, Guest Services, Facilities, and EVS as required
• Maintaining the highest level of customer service skills at all times
• Limits wait and hold times of callers
• Maintain spreadsheets, databases, and files to track and maintain information
• Dispatch calls to appropriate personnel
• Log in all incoming calls
• Log all transporting of patients by assignment as assigned by transport
• Log name of person assigned to service call
• Maintains service request log

Requirements

• Required High School Diploma or GED
• One (1) year of clerical or customer service experience
