About the role
As a Dispatch Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will coordinate responses to security-related calls, monitor alarm activity, communicate with onsite teams, and support access control needs. Your calm, service-focused approach will help promote a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Receive, prioritize, document, and dispatch calls for service, alarms, access concerns, and other security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
- Monitor communications systems, cameras, alarms, and other site systems; maintain accurate dispatch logs and incident records.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare location and perimeter, as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Pay
$22.95 / hour
Schedule
- Wednesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Thursday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Friday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
