About the role
The GSOC Dispatch Specialist position has high visibility and is directly accountable for the effective and efficient flow of information from the Security Operations Center (SOC) and Control Rooms to the Corporate Security Management. The SOC is a 24/7 operation providing comprehensive monitoring, leveraging intelligence from multiple systems and technology databases for advanced correlation and analysis to deliver actionable security incidents. The selectee must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities
- Alarm Monitoring
- CCTV Monitoring and Camera Surveys
- Answering phones and operating IP-based telephone systems
- Radio Dispatch using multi-channel communications
- Radio and Call logging
- Operations support, routing call information to appropriate units
- Ensuring timely and effective response to incidents, alarms, notifications, calls, and other SOC-related activities
- Receiving and responding to emergency and non-emergency calls from employees, vendors, law enforcement, and security field force via telephone, automated alarm monitoring, and radio systems
- Processing and evaluating information from all available sources, responding with appropriate communication and dispatch procedures
- Coordinating with SOC staff to provide documentation supporting uniformed guard force activity (e.g., Officer Dispatch, Incident Reporting)
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Communications, or related field
- Professional training and/or education in:
- Customer service
- Dispatch operations
- Security and/or emergency services
- Documented experience and competency in Security Software Systems:
- Access Control/ID systems (ProWatch a plus)
- Alarm Receiving Automation software (Onyx Works a plus)
- Incident Management and computer-assisted dispatch software
- CCTV/Video Management systems (MaxPro a plus)
- Mass Notification systems (Everbridge a plus)
- Experience in a modern 911 Call Center, Central Station Alarm Monitoring and Dispatch Operation, Technical Security Control Room, or similar environment
- Ability to learn through classroom and on-the-job training
Physical Requirements
- Environment: Office; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures
- Major activity: Working on PC and using telephone/radio while sitting
- Physical efforts: Limited, including some standing, bending, and limited stretching and reaching
- Must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law
