Job Summary

The Security Control Center Operations Manager is responsible for the direction, accountability, and training of all Control Center Operators. This role reports directly to the National Account Manager and must adhere to all Company and Client policy and procedures.

About the Role

The Global Security Control Center (GSCC) operates 24/7/365, managing incidents, events, and information for a client. Operators utilize various tools to investigate incidents that violate policy or impact client operations. They must interact with high-level managers, security personnel, facility engineers, and law enforcement.

Required Skills and Expertise

  • Integrity and professionalism

  • Broad knowledge of open-source intelligence gathering, analysis, and reporting best practices
  • Effective communication with staff at all levels in a high-pressure environment
  • Manage weekly schedules, handle time off requests, and ensure staffing meets operational and client requirements
  • Conduct new hire interviews and selections
  • Provide consistent and effective training in areas such as alarm monitoring, incident management, and workplace safety
  • Ensure compliance with client procedures and expectations
  • Coach and counsel staff
  • Investigate and resolve complaints
  • Coordinate incident and risk-based communications using a mass notification system
  • Review and verify incident notifications for accuracy and efficiency
  • Provide technical support to security system end users
  • Establish strong team objectives and measure them against Key Performance Indicators
  • Flexibility to work second shifts, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Minimum Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive security-related experience, law enforcement, emergency services, military, or other relevant experience
  • One (1) year management or systems experience required
  • Proficiency with electronic access control applications/hardware

Working Conditions

  • Requires the physical and mental capacity to effectively perform all essential functions
  • Maintain composure in dealing with clients and staff, especially under conditions of urgency and pressure
  • May be required to manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Computer usage including data entry
  • Frequent verbal and written communication
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
  • May be required to use vehicle in the performance of duties
  • On occasion, may be exposed to inclement weather or work in environments requiring protective gear and devices
  • Must meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection surveys
  • Must manage sensitive and confidential information in accordance with client Non-Disclosure Policy
