Location: Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054 – requires open availability (rotating days off, including weekends). New Jersey SORA License required.
Schedule
- First Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Second Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM

$23.00 / hour

Responsibilities
- Prioritize excellent customer service.
- Monitor for and identify threats, trends, and incidents that could negatively impact the security of client personnel, facilities, operations, and reputation.
- Responsible for detailed report writing involving a general understanding of critical incident escalation.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with limited supervision.
- Consult with all risk functions in the development and documentation of policies, procedures, and controls for all department processes.
- Coordinate security guards and paid police details as needed.
- Actively monitor and facilitate the occurrence of security-related incidents.
- Assess threats based on incoming data and make decisions based on findings.
- Participate in numerous Physical Security projects including Physical Security technology, employee photo identification, card access, video monitoring, and retrieval.
- Monitor access control systems and act in response to an alarm, breach, or malfunction.
- Appropriately respond to security operations notifications and requests made by internal and external parties.
- Liaise with emergency medical services, the fire department, and law enforcement in the event of an emergency.
- Support onsite contract security staff.
- Conduct open-source research to answer specific questions and develop intelligence products.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or an associate’s degree with progressive experience preferred.
- Minimum of 1-year of experience in the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), central station monitoring operations, or equivalent.
- Ability to pass an extensive screening process.
- Shift work experience in a 24-hour operation.
- Active New Jersey SORA license.
- Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience is a plus.
- 1-2 years of CCTV/Control Room Security experience.
- Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint).
Skills
- Strong customer service and communication; call center/phone experience preferred.

- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and other PC-based programs.

Physical Requirements
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Ability to continuously perform multiple tasks, operate standard office equipment, and respond quickly to sounds.
- Ability to occasionally sit, stand, walk, squat, bend, reach forward, and/or move safely in confined spaces.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry weight under 25 lbs.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions on a regular basis.
- Ability to apply common sense reasoning to handle problems involving standardized situations.
- Ability to problem solve basic mathematical problems including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
