Responsibilities

• Maintain a secure and organized gate operation by verifying driver identification and authorization before granting access.
• Check in all incoming trailers and drivers, verify Bills of Lading (BOL), delivery paperwork, and seal numbers, inspect trailers for damage, proper seals, and safety compliance, record arrival times, and assign dock locations as needed.
• Verify outbound shipment documentation and authorization, confirm trailer numbers, seal numbers, and load details, ensure trailers are properly sealed before departure, log departure times, and release trailers from the facility.
• Conduct routine yard checks to ensure trailer security and organization, report any suspicious activity, safety hazards, or discrepancies, communicate with shipping, receiving, and operations teams.
• Maintain accurate logs of all inbound and outbound movements, complete incident reports when necessary, track late arrivals, missing paperwork, or damaged trailers.
