About the Role
White Lodging develops and operates a portfolio of award-winning, premium-brand hotels, rooftop bars, and restaurants in some of the country’s best cities to live. The Security Officer promotes a safe and welcoming environment for guests and associates by maintaining order, enforcing property policies, and responding to incidents.
Responsibilities
- Patrol interior and exterior areas to identify safety risks, suspicious behavior, or security breaches.
- Monitor and document activity from security cameras, reporting any unusual or unsafe conditions.
- Control access to associate entrances, issue and collect visitor passes, and safeguard hotel keys.
- Respond to incidents including theft, property damage, unlawful entry, or guest disturbances, creating clear written reports.
- Assist with lost and found, secure property, and maintain detailed activity logs.
- Support emergency response efforts including fire, medical, severe weather, or evacuation procedures.
- Generate associate identification cards and assist with other security-related administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with hotel leadership and associates to ensure a safe and positive guest experience.
Requirements
- Previous security, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of CCTV operations is a plus.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain after hire).
- Ability to write clear, professional incident and investigative reports.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm and tactful in stressful situations.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
