Security and Facilities Associate

About the role

The Sisters of the Humility of Mary are currently seeking a responsible and dependable Security and Facilities Associate to help ensure the safety and security of our campus during evening and weekend hours. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe environment for all campus occupants while also responding to maintenance issues and emergencies as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the campus to monitor for safety concerns
• Check the operation of boilers and other equipment
• Lock and unlock buildings at scheduled times
• Respond promptly to calls for assistance
• Escort employees when needed
• Stoke a wood burner at the farm
• Clear snow and apply salt to walkways
• Perform routine chemical tests at the pool and water well
• Document any unusual incidents and report them to your supervisor

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least three months of related experience or training
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems
• Ability to work independently
• Strong commitment to safety
