Security Associate

About the role

As a part‑time Security Associate at the Hilton Milwaukee, you will help create a safe and comfortable environment for guests and associates. You will detect suspicious behavior, prevent vandalism, theft, and other unlawful activity, and de‑escalate conflicts. The hotel recently completed a $40 million renovation, modernizing guest rooms, event spaces, and the grand lobby, and is connected to the newly expanded Baird Center.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises on foot and maintain safety for guests and associates while protecting property and assets.
• Operate a dispatch center, handling key control, fire‑alarm monitoring, CCTV monitoring, answering routine and emergency service calls, and dispatching assistance.
• Perform proactive and professional security, safety, and loss‑prevention practices.
• Investigate situations and conditions and write reports as necessary.
• Meet, greet, and assist guests and associates in a professional and calm manner.
• Witness cash drops, monitor cameras, and perform lost‑and‑found functions.
• Transport guests in company vehicles to and from locations such as airports, local offices, and entertainment venues.
• Assist in other areas as needed.

Requirements

• Knowledge of security and law‑enforcement practices preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Prior hospitality, guest‑service, and/or security experience preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with department management, staff, personnel, and the public.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Works well independently and as a team player, especially under pressure.
• Flexible schedule availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay

$18.50 per hour (part‑time, hourly).

Schedule

Morning shift, including weekends and holidays. Flexible schedule required with availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
