Security and Emergency Services Officer II

Location: Emerson Lakes by Erickson Senior Living, a 46-acre continuing care retirement community in Lakewood Ranch, near Bradenton and Sarasota, Florida. This gated community will serve over 1,500 residents across Independent Living, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, and Memory Care, featuring amenities such as multiple restaurants, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, and an onsite medical center.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular patrols of the property and provide relief staffing for the gatehouse
• Respond to emergency and routine calls for service
• Enforce traffic and parking regulations
• Respond to calls from dispatch and security
• Handle medical emergencies and provide basic interventions
• Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, and potential criminal activity
• Coordinate with local police, fire, and EMS during emergencies
• Complete thorough and detailed incident reports using the online system

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Prior experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services preferred
• Proactive, vigilant, and detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and efficiency
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification
• Current Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification (higher-level certification/licensure accepted at hire, but EMR certification required within 30 days)
• Successful completion of an extensive Level 2 background screening (federal, state, and city checks, including fingerprinting) as required by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA)
