About the role
The Security Ambassador role is responsible for offering a welcoming experience upon a guest’s arrival and providing exceptional guest service while completing any required duties of their assigned position. All duties are performed within the guidelines of Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards, and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming experience for guest arrival and offer exceptional guest service during assigned duties.
- May be assigned to indoor or outdoor positions throughout SGC property at the discretion of Security Management.
- Successfully complete CPR/First Aid Training Course and any other training required by Security Management.
- Report to the Security Management Team any violations, acts, or situations detrimental to the best interest of Seneca Gaming Corporation.
- Assist in internal or external investigations conducted by Seneca Gaming Corporation, Seneca Gaming Authority, or authorized local authorities in a non-gaming capacity.
- Possess good communication skills and resolve or de-escalate conflicts in non-gaming areas.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding internal functions of the Security Department and other confidential information.
- Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security, including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy.
- Comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.
- Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers, and staff.
- Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
- Complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
- Attend all necessary meetings.

Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
- Preference given to candidates with a high school diploma.
- Preference given to candidates with security, hospitality, or guest service experience.
- Preference given to candidates with a basic understanding and working knowledge of computers.
- Must have good observation, writing, and spelling skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
- Ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
- Ability to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees.
- Ability to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but increases to loud on the casino floor.
- Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all non-gaming areas of the casino.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, noisy casino environment and effectively deal with guests, management, and employees in all situations.
Pay
Starting rate: $16.00 per hour. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and education.
