Overview This position is a responsible secretarial position involving a variety of clerical and organizational skills. This position will provide secretarial and clerical support to the Department of Nursing Education and Staff Development and Utilization prong. Work performed involves varied subject matter ranging from standard clerical assignments too more advanced secretarial responsibilities. This position will support and demonstrate a working knowledge of the vast array of required and elective education programs, training and orientation provided by Nursing and Patient Services. Work is performed under general supervision and is carried to completion independently, providing current status or outcome of each project to the appropriate personnel. The Secretary provides administrative support to achieve the organization's mission of excellent patient care and nursing's vision of setting a new standard of excellence in autonomous and accountable nursing practice committed to patient advocacy and innovative patient care in a climate of trust and collaboration. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: High school graduate or equivalentOne to two years' progressively responsible secretarial experience required or AA degree in related field with no experience. Experience must include use of personal computer applications including word processing and spreadsheets such as Word, Excel, Access, etc. preferred. Must be able to type 30 cwpm.
