Secretary II - Full Time - Day

Responsibilities
- Answers phone calls and directs the caller to the appropriate personnel, department, or voicemail to ensure all calls are addressed.
- Screens and refers incoming emails to ensure that accurate and timely departmental communication is facilitated.
- Maintains schedule and makes appointments for Leader as requested.
- Completes all administrative tasks needed to support department functions.
- Assists Leader with the team members' schedule.
- Assists Leader with monthly reports and contract preparation.
- Maintains timekeeping and attendance if applicable.
- Takes committee or department meeting minutes as needed.
- Develops and sets priorities of departmental needs.
- Communicates and maintains rapport with Leaders and Team Members.
- Assists department with various duties and/or projects related to the department's needs and responsibilities.
- Orders office supplies and computer equipment as requested if applicable.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Requirements
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
- A minimum of four years of secretarial experience.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Graduate of an accredited Business School.
- Typing speed of over 70 wpm.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Pay
Minimum rate of $25.77 hourly. The posted rate of pay is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting. The starting rate of pay is provided for informational purposes only and is not a guarantee of a specific offer. Posted hourly rates may be stated as an annual salary in the offer and posted annual salaries may be stated as an hourly rate in the offer, depending on the level and nature of the job duties and credentials of the candidate. The base compensation determined at the time of the offer may be different than the posted rate of pay based on labor market data, experience, education and certifications, skills, geographic location, internal equity, budget and grant funding.
