About the role
The Secretary II position requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one. It is also restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents due to a government contract requirement.
Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of administrative and clerical functions, including advanced word processing and document preparation
- Prepare and format briefings, correspondence, reports, and presentations for leadership review
- Screen and prioritize inquiries, correspondence, and requests for action
- Maintain complex electronic filing and document management systems
- Cookinate calendars, meetings, and logistical support for staff and leadership
- Track tasks and actions using Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2), Task Management Tool (TMT), ServiceNow, or similar systems
- Ensure timely distribution and follow-up of taskings and correspondence
- Utilize standard DMDC/DHRA software tools and customized government COTS products to support office operations
- Ensure compliance with records management, security, and administrative policies
- Provide guidance or support to junior administrative staff, as assigned
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- An associate degree or administrative training is preferred.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills are necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Adobe Pro, and Visio is required.
- Experience using government task management and workflow systems (e.g., ETMS2, TMT, ServiceNow) is beneficial.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- The ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines is crucial.
- The ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment is important.
- The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately is mandatory.
- The ability to coordinate and track multiple tasks and assignments is necessary.
- The ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment is key.
Qualifications

Benefits
Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for Secretary I $20-$22/hour +5.55/hour. Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
