About the role
Responsible for teaching mathematics to high school students. Develops lesson plans and assessments aligned with state standards. Supports students' social-emotional learning and provides differentiated instruction as needed.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards
- Administer and grade assessments to evaluate student progress
- Provide differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
- Support students' social-emotional learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement interdisciplinary units
- Attend professional development workshops and conferences
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field
- Teaching certification in Mathematics
- At least 2 years of teaching experience
- Experience with differentiated instruction and social-emotional learning
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
- Passion for teaching and supporting student growth
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with educational technology tools
- Knowledge of Common Core State Standards
