SECONDARY SCHOOL COUNSELING DIRECTOR-HS

About the role

Provide leadership and collaboration at the middle and high school level to ensure the development, implementation and assessment of school counseling programs benefit all students to help achieve maximum success in school.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive school counseling programs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of counseling programs and make necessary adjustments.
• Provide individual and group counseling services to students.
• Develop and deliver professional development opportunities for school staff.

Requirements

• An earned master's degree from an accredited institution in School Counseling, Counselor Education, or a related field.
• A minimum of two (2) years of school counseling experience.
• A valid Florida Department of Education Certification in School Counseling.
• Ability to work with diverse groups.
• Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

• Significant contact with terms of employment including compensation, benefits, and work schedule.
