SECONDARY SCHOOL COUNSELING DIRECTOR-MID

Position Goal

Provide leadership and collaboration at the middle and high school level to ensure the development, implementation and assessment of school counseling programs benefit all students to help achieve maximum success in school.

Essential Performance Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support to students regarding academic, career, and personal/social development.
• Develop and implement comprehensive school counseling programs aligned with district goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community members to enhance student success.
• Evaluate and improve school counseling programs through data analysis and feedback.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• An earned master's degree from an accredited institution in School Counseling, Counselor Education, or a related field.
• A minimum of two (2) years of school counseling experience.
• Valid Florida Department of Education Certification in School Counseling.
• Ability to work with diverse groups.
• Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Computer skills as required for the position.
