About the role
We are looking for you to join Team Rebo as a 2nd Shift Production Automation Team Lead! Rebo provides interior and exterior automotive and electronics lighting solutions—both traditional and new concepts we design and make. Responsibilities
- Assemble and inspect the production of automotive lighting products, reinspecting work as needed.
- Assist the supervisor and lead multiple employees with a focus on the automation lines.
- Work closely with support groups and lead 6s projects.
- Train existing/new employees to the highest quality standards possible by leading by example and ensuring safety requirements are met at all times.
- Work in PLEX and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards while adhering to production specifications and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate process improvements that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Work under minimal supervision from the shift supervisor or management, take initiative, maintain housekeeping standards, and assist with other tasks as needed. This may include:
- Scheduling overtime.
- Assigning employees to different positions to ensure maximum output.
- Filling in for the supervisor as needed.
- Being flexible and making changes quickly to ensure the customer is always taken care of.
- All other duties as directed by the company.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
- Good computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
- Previous production experience is required.
- Comfortable with working overtime as needed, including weekends when necessary.
- Ability to read and comprehend written and oral instructions.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to find new and effective ways to streamline processes for maximum efficiency without compromising safety and quality.
- Organized, highly efficient, and able to develop specific goals and prioritize with minimal supervision.
- Excellent dexterity with high attention to detail to efficiently make the product within customer specifications the first time.
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job, which may include lifting up to 30 lbs. and standing for long periods of time.
