SEC Reporting Consultant
About the role
This position will play a critical role in the preparation and review of SEC filings, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while partnering cross-functionally across accounting, finance, and executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review SEC filings including 10-K, 10-Q, and related disclosures
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Manage the financial reporting process and supporting schedules
- Cook up with external auditors and internal stakeholders
- Aid with technical accounting research and implementation
- Support quarter-end and year-end close activities as they relate to reporting
- Identify process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in SEC reporting within a publicly traded company
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial statement presentation
- Experience preparing or reviewing 10-K and 10-Q filings
- Background in Big 4 or national public accounting (highly preferred)
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with technical accounting and complex transactions
- Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Workiva, Hyperion, or similar)
- Strong communication and business partnering skills
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred
