Seasonal Scalehouse Operator
About the role
This employee provides administrative support to the Parks and Natural Resources Division sections (Park Management, Forestry & Landscaping, Park Facilities Maintenance & Construction, Athletic Field maintenance and Conservation & Interpretation) and their Division Chief. Specific duties include preparing letters,grams, and reports; project tracking using MS Office Suite software; inputting and maintaining payroll records; serving as LAN coordinator for division; inputting work orders into a work order system; coordinating scheduling of conference center; coordinating travel arrangements; answering incoming telephone and e-mail information requests; responding to citizen, departmental and staff inquiries; maintaining filing systems and employee records; ordering office supplies; and serving as a liaison among division staff.

Requirements
The employee must be able to work well under pressure, deal courteously with a diverse staff and public, have good oral communication and listening skills, and be able to maintain sensitive and confidential information in an appropriate manner. The employee works under minimal supervision and exercises independent judgment.
Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or the equivalent plus two and one-half years of progressively responsible administrative support experience which includes scheduling and coordinating work; applying substantive knowledge of rules, methods, procedures, and/or operations to administrative assignments; or preparing a variety of correspondence, reports, and documents.
- Satisfactory completion of a certificate program from a recognized administrative training school or program may substitute for one year of experience.
- Satisfactory completion of two years (60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours) at an accredited college or university may substitute for one year of experience.
- A bachelor's degree in Public or Business Administration or Human Resource Management may substitute for 18 months of experience.
- Additional experience may substitute for up to two (2) years of high school on a year-for-year basis.

Pay
Paid Leave: Vacation leave is earned at the rate of four hours biweekly. Leave accrual increases every three years until eight hours of leave are earned biweekly for twelve or more years of service. Sick leave is earned at the rate of four hours biweekly. There are eleven paid holidays each year.
Schedule
Work Hours: 8:00 to 5:00 Monday through Friday. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
