Seasonal Sailing Instructor / General Assistant

Duties

• Deliver engaging sailing lessons to participants of various ages and skill levels, ensuring safety and enjoyment at all times
• Aid with organizing sailing activities, equipment setup, and maintenance of safety gear
• Support the day-to-day running of the sailing programme, including registration, scheduling, and participant management
• Supervise participants during sailing sessions, ensuring adherence to safety protocols
• Offer guidance and support to beginners, fostering a positive learning environment
• Contribute to promotional activities by engaging with visitors and encouraging participation in sailing activities
• Perform some office and reception work, including setting up equipment, tidying areas, and supporting event logistics

Qualifications

• RYA Dinghy Instructors but ideally RYA Senior Instructor
• Already hold RYA Safety Boat certification but training will be provided
• Highly desirable previous experience in sports coaching or teaching
• Passion for sailing, water sports, or outdoor activities
• Strong communication skills with an approachable manner
• Effective teamwork and independent working ability
• Good organizational skills and time management
• Enthusiasm for safety and customer service
• Relevant certifications in sports coaching or water safety (training will be provided if necessary)
• Experience of Tractor Driving (preferable but training can be provided for suitable candidates)

Pay and Benefits

Pay: £12.75-£13.50 per hour
