Seasonal RN - Emergency Care Center - Night Shift (6 Weeks)

About the role

Provides professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and in accordance with the ANA's Standards of Professional Practice.

Responsibilities

• Guides patient and family care according to the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and ANA's Standards of Professional Practice.
• Provides emergency registered nurse care in an acute clinical setting.
• Maintains basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• Completes required certifications and courses within one year of department orientation.
• Maintains all required certifications and courses thereafter.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).
• One (1) year of emergency registered nurse experience.
• Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• Completion of required certifications and courses within one year of department orientation.
• Maintain all required certifications and courses thereafter.

Qualifications

• Preferred certification in nursing specialty area.
• Preferred education: BSN - Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
